Coming from a long line of businessmen, Peter Beren started his career working for his family’s oil field supply business while in high school. Upon his graduation from Wichita State University, Peter rejoined the family business and began learning sales, inventory control, customer service, and management. Ever changing with the times, Peter began the process of evolving the company into a natural gas marketing company. Because of these changes, the company was able to grow into one of the largest independent marketers throughout the Midwest. Eventually the company was sold to Mountain Energy, where Peter was able to stay on and develop innovative, customer centric solutions for the acquiring company’s client base.
In 2001, Peter bought Mid America Coach, a shuttle bus dealer serving the mobility needs of healthcare communities, universities and religious institutions throughout the region. Peter followed his family’s tradition of providing the customer with a better product, service and price than they thought possible. It was this recipe that led to many years of success and enable him the opportunity to sell the business.
